Sensations

To give reality to our senses, as well as to our wounds; to illustrate our fragility, to bring the spectator back to real life, far from the artificial and contrived; to awaken in him deep sensations ; to establish an authentic and tangible connection with him, allowing him to physically feel what is being represented.

To explore, with a form of aestheticism, our darker sides, at the limits of morality. Disturbing, contradictory, evoking pain or physical softness, represented by the disturbing warmth of a candle, the delicacy of a feather or the coldness of an ice cube, barbed wire against the skin or the oppressive tension of a chain, Wartenberg’s roulette wheel; to bring the viewer back to the palpable world around them.

To see the bruises on bodies that are both fragile and resilient. The emotional wounds. Showing the skin. Reminding us that we are vulnerable. Always vulnerable.
